Amos Milburn - Blues, Barrelhouse & Boogie Woogie (Disc 1)

Wokalista i pianista urodzony 1.04.1927 w Houston (Teksas). Od 5-tego roku życia uczył się grać na fortepianie. Profesjonalne występy zaczął w klubie Key Hole w San Antonio. W latach 1946 -1947 występował w Savoy Club w Los Angeles. W latach 1946-1948 nagrywał dla wytwórni Aladdin, m.in. „Train Time Blues". Pod koniec lat 40-tych występował w klubach Teksasu i Luizjany. W latach 1949-1952 nagrywał dla wytwórni Aladdin z własnym zespołem Chicken Shakers m. in popularne utwory "Chicken Shack Boogie" „Hold Me Baby", „In the Middle of the Night", ,,Let's Make Christmas Merry Baby", ,,Roomin' House Boogie „Bad Bad Whiskey" (znalazł się w 1950 r. na liście bestsellerów Billboardu) oraz w 1953 r. „Let Me Go Home Whiskey" i „One Scotch, One Bourbon, One Beer".
